You can help make SISTER House a reality.

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, the SISTER House board is happy to announce that we are sponsoring Wisconsin's first Oxford House for women, called Madison Place Oxford House. The house can comfortably accomodate up to six women who are in recovery. For more information about Oxford Houses, please see the Oxford House website.

Our longer term goals are to buy our own house, and for SISTER House to become entirely self-sufficient. We aim to do this by owning and operating one or more businesses that will provide the income needed to sustain our operations (while at the same time providing employment for the women). It is important to the Board of Directors to be able to make a commitment to each woman for at least one full year.

Your gift will help us to achieve both our short and longer term goals of providing housing, employment opportunities, and a support network for returning women.

Here is how you can help ...

Now –

• Donate funding to help secure housing and business sites.
• Donate your expertise and assistance in launching a successful business venture.
• Share our website, and information about us, with others whom you think may be interested in changing lives, assisting families, and changing communities.

Once enough seed money is raised –

• Help us purchase a housing and/or business site for a fair price, or lease to us with the option to buy. Ideally we are looking for a building with retail space on the ground floor and living space up above.
• Donate funds to furnish and supply the housing and/or business sites.
• Donate household and/or business furniture/supplies.
• Provide employment opportunities. Your business may be eligible for a wage subsidy program offered through the Department of Corrections, Community Corrections Employment Program. We will work with you to set this up.
• Volunteer - be a mentor, teach life skills classes, and/or provide recreation activities.
• Continue sharing information about SISTER House with others in the community.
